Margaret (Maggie) Baughman (@BaughmanMM) is a data and language intelligence analyst at SOS International’s Center for Intelligence Research and Analysis (CIRA). She researches Asia-Pacific security, Chinese influence tactics, and computational propaganda. Maggie has interned at the State Department and the National Defense University’s Center for the Study of Chinese Military Affairs. She was a winner of New America’s “New Models of Policy Change” essay contest and the China Talk essay contest, and her work had appeared in Just Security.

Maggie recently graduated summa cum laude from Princeton University, where her senior thesis on the privatization of Chinese propaganda on Western social media won the award for the best thesis on U.S. foreign policy. She speaks Chinese (Mandarin).
