Dave Smith is the editor of the Week in Review for The Wire. Previously, he was the editor for The New York Times “Week in Review” section. He also served as the media editor and a metro editor at The Times, and as managing editor of The International Herald Tribune, now known as The International New York Times. As a ranking editor on the Metro desk of The Times, he led the team that won a Pulitzer Prize for breaking news coverage of the bombing of the World Trade Center in 1993. Smith is an alumnus of Columbia College, in New York. He lives in Manhattan with his partner, Roberta Sanders.
