Alex Wang is a Professor of Law at UCLA School of Law, where he holds the Walter and Shirley Wang Chair in U.S.-China Relations and Communications and co-directs the Emmett Institute on Climate Change and the Environment. His research focuses on the law and politics of Chinese environmental governance. He first went to China on a Fulbright grant in 2004, then spent six years at the Natural Resources Defense Council in Beijing, building the organization's environmental law and governance program
