Coby Goldberg is a researcher with the Asia-Pacific Security Program at the Center for a New American Security (CNAS). Prior to joining CNAS, Coby interned at Kamsky Associates, a China-cross border strategic advisory firm. He also interned at several non-profit organizations in Asia, including an environmental organization in southeast China and a migrants’ rights organization in Thailand. Coby recently graduated summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa from Princeton University with a B.A. in East Asian Studies and a certificate (minor) in the Humanities. During his junior year, he spent one semester in the philosophy department at Tsinghua University in Beijing. His senior thesis examining attitudes toward history, technology, and the individual in contemporary Chinese science fiction won the Marjory Chadwick Buchanan Senior Thesis Prize for best undergraduate research in the East Asian Studies department. Coby is proficient in Chinese and is learning Korean.
