Nazak Nikakhtar served in the Commerce Department during the Trump administration. She was an assistant secretary for industry and analysis in the Department's International Trade Administration and also served as an undersecretary for the Bureau of Industry and Security. In those positions, she helped shape U.S. trade policy toward China and led the Commerce Department's work with the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS).
