Lea Thome is the inaugural Roy Gibson Fellow for Space Policy at the European Space Policy Institute (ESPI), where she tracks and analyzes China’s space activities. Previously, Thome researched global China at the Wilson Center’s Kissinger Institute for China and the United States, the Institute for National Defense and Security Research, and AidData. Originally hailing from Germany, she holds her bachelor’s degree in Political Science and International Relations with a minor in Chinese language and culture from the University of Rochester and her master’s degree in Global Affairs as a Schwarzman Scholar from Tsinghua University.
